Past, Present, and Future of Sericulture in Veneto&#8221;: the project aimed at Venetian schools.<\/h5>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fisppa.unipd.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FISPPA<\/strong><\/a>) of the University of Padua and the <a href=\"\/?page_id=10037\"><strong>CREA<\/strong><\/a> (Council of Research in Agriculture and Analysis of Agricultural Economics) &#8211; laboratory of Padua were the promoters, in agreement with the <a href=\"https:\/\/istruzioneveneto.gov.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Veneto (Regional School Office for Veneto)<\/strong><\/a>, of a training meeting aimed at<strong> primary and secondary school teachers and students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the meeting, which took place on Thursday <strong>December 9, 2021<\/strong> in online mode, was to make known and enhance the experiences of sericulture in Veneto, which are proving to be an excellent driving force for the <strong>green economy<\/strong>. The <em>Bombyx mori<\/em> is no longer just synonymous with fine fabrics, but finds applications in surgery, cosmetics, animal and human nutrition, and is at the center of research in nanotechnologies and superconductors.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, experiences of some <strong>territorial stakeholders<\/strong> were also presented, bringing teachers and students closer to this topic and allowing interested schools to propose <strong>specific PCTO projects<\/strong> (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation) organized by <strong>CREA of Padua<\/strong> and the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy, and Applied Psychology (FISPPA) of the <strong>University of Padua<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Already in 2022, the first school projects are planned to bring the <strong>incredible potential of the silk chain<\/strong> into the classrooms, highlighting the present and future of a low-impact and high-value-added economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For information on the project:\u00a0<a title=\"mailto:manlio.piva@unipd.it\" href=\"mailto:manlio.piva@unipd.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">manlio.piva@unipd.it<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Meeting of 09\/12\/2021: INTERVENTIONS AND SPEAKERS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The Silkworm&#8217;s Saga in Veneto: an introduction<\/em> &#8211;\u00a0prof.
