The skills of the Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry are centred on research into the sustainable development of rural and mountain areas in economic, social and environmental terms, with specific reference to activities linked to farming, forestry, different agrifood production chains and market demand.
There is particular focus on topics regarding policies and social marketing linked to product and process certification systems, organic farming, agrifood product quality, intellectual property rights on geographic indications and natural resources, agrifood product demand, agrifood offer and policies, production chain analysis, sustainable biomass offer.
