10 years of revolution between past, present and future with young people from Calabria who have decided to embark on a specific challenge: to return and stay in Calabria.
Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Pugliese Palace, historic centre of San Floro (CZ)
Giovanna Bagnato, Miriam Pugliese and Domenico Vivino are the founders of the Agricultural Cooperative “Nido di Seta”, which has managed to bring silk back into prominence in Calabria. By resuming the ancient sericulture chain and making it their main activity, they are building day by day that virtuous cycle that manages to orchestrate craftsmanship, cultural moments, artistic and culinary events, making their reality a magnet for national and international tourism.
Ten years of work, ten years of bread and dreams, of silk.
Dreams born from reality.
The story of a small cooperative that, starting from an abandoned land – with constancy and determination – has reconnected a small path of Calabrian silk.
An age-old tradition that, emerging from oblivion, relives in a contemporary form, in synergy with the territory and the environment.
An ethical supply chain that puts human relationships and the respect of workers first.
Nido di Seta, a love story for our land and our origins.
To celebrate the 10 years since their establishment, a conference has been organized in the historic centre of the characteristic village of San Floro, which will also feature the participation of Dr. Alessio Saviane of the CREA Agriculture and Environment – Sericulture Laboratory of Padua.
The program for the morning follows.
For the occasion, the “Silk Museum” of San Floro, set up within the walls of Caracciolo Castle, will remain open for the duration of the event.
